Fraunhofer Nanotechnology FNTNanotechnology comprises a broad spectrum of new enabling technologies of materials, components and systems, where the function and application is based on the unique properties of nanoscale (≤ 100 nm) units. It is already an integral part of our everyday life: for example, nanoparticles are used in sun creams for skin protection from UV radiation or to reinforce car tires. And with nanotechnology easy-to-use and scratch-resistant surfaces are obtained. The technology is already used by industries and across industries for various applications.
